Help! I've Been Mommed . . .

In honor of all the times that I have found petrified french fries, melted crayons, and rancid sippy cups in my van (And . . . let's not forget about the time it took me so long to clean out my van that the battery died before I was done . . .), I give you this YouTube gem. Just click on the link below. (By the way, if any of you know how to download video . . . shoot me an email. Blogger wouldn't let me. Grrr! I have included a link instead.)

I know. I know. You can thank me later.

Mom My Ride - Sponsored by Zima

Classic!

So now I know what happened. Instead of having my ride pimped, I had it "mommed."

Who else has a "mommed"mobile??

  1. HYSTERICAL! I just tweeted this. omg. so true.
but since i quit Diet Coke, I can at least say there is no spilled Diet Coke on my dash....

    LOL!

  2. I haven't watched the video yet, but I absolutely have a mommed mobile! My husband found what he called a "petrified orange" in there recently. Ugh!

  3. Oh my goodness, this is hilarious! Especially since my 10-year-old son actually DID kick a soccer ball in the driveway and broke the rearview mirror! Plus, there's the time, he was throwing rocks over the house from the backyard and shattered one of the back windows! My ride is definitely Mommed. No doubt about it. ;0) Very cute blog. I'm visiting from SITS Saturday Sharefest!

    ReplyDelete
  6. Oh my! I think that is what happened to my car. Only they forgot to add the twisted seatbelts. Those make me crazy!!

    ReplyDelete
  7. LOL! There is no part of my life that hasn't been mommed - from my house, to my car, to my flat mom butt.

    ReplyDelete
  8. LOL! I don't have kids, but this clip described my SIL's car beautifully, in every detail!!

  9. annie---

fyi, i had an AOL email account (like you) and was having trouble sending & receiving messages for the last several weeks...i switched over to yahoo b/c of it. i have sent you a few emails/comments to your blog that have come back to me as undeliverable and just wanted to let you know....i can't believe AOL still doesn't have the problem resolved...

    ReplyDelete
  10. Somehow I've managed to avoid my ride getting entirely mommed, but there are toys hanging in the back... so let's say we're halfway there.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I have found cracker crumbs all of the car. Not just in the backseat where my son eats them.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Oh, how terribly funny! Thank goodness my husband actually knows how to fix stuff, though. Otherwise, that's my van! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  13. Yup. My car is "mommed" for sure!! :)

    Visiting from SITS.

  14. Ah, when I had a car it was a mess. Entirely my own fault, though.

    ReplyDelete

  25. That was a great video! I have to share it with my mom! Stopping by from SITS. You have a very cute blog :-).
p.s. under the youtube video it says embed. Copy the embeded link and paste it to your blog when it's in Html format. That should do the trick.

  26. hehehe...this is so apt.......though I dropped diet coke all over my husband's car dashboard, even before we got engaged.....visiting from SITS

  27. Happy SITS day! Hehehe Funny video!

  28. My car is Mommed much to Hubby's chagrin. I remember the day my 5yr old said "Look Mommy, the ants live in our car too". They were noshing a dried up piece of apple slice my son had dropped ages ago.

    popped over from SITS.

  29. It's so true. Thanks I need a smile this morning.

    ReplyDelete
  30. That was just the laugh I needed this morning! Rock on in your mom-mobile!

    ReplyDelete
  31. My sweet husband cleaned out my car this week because it was so mommed-out I couldn't stand it anymore! Too funny! :)

    ReplyDelete
  32. Been there...my daughters update my style every week. Thanks for sharing that video. Were you so surprised it was you this morning? I was. Happy SITS Day!!!

  34. My van is STILL mommed. Eventually I'll get around to it. Right??

    ReplyDelete
  35. Cute blog, it made me smile a big smile. popping by from SITS.

    ReplyDelete
  36. That is too funny. Our car has most definitely been 'mommed' and most certainly 'popped' too. I'm going to share this on my Facebook page, will credit you for the link!

  37. I desperately need my ride "mommed". Where do I sign up for that?

    ReplyDelete
  38. Hilarious. Thanks for sharing. I hooked it up with my Facebook account.

    ReplyDelete
  39. You're right on target with this one. Just last week my son crashed into the back of the minivan with his bike. He blamed it on his sneakers. "Couldn't get them on the ground fast enough, Mom."

    ReplyDelete
  40. Stopping by from SITS. Hilarious and oh so true!

    ReplyDelete
  41. I'm not even a mom, and that is the funniest thing I've seen in awhile.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Five kids, so, yeah, my van is definately mommed out. The absolute worst thing I ever found was a sippy cup I lost on our disney trip- four months later. In August. So it went through the whole summer. It was beyond disgusting.

    Following from SITS!

    ReplyDelete
  43. Love it! Thanks for the giggle ---

    ReplyDelete
  44. I'm not a mom, but I've definitely had my car "friended" before!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Oh this is so funny, thank you for sharing - in my car it is the Hansel and Gretel like trail of goldfish crumbs that drives me crazy and they manage to get into EVERY little crack and crevice!

    ReplyDelete
  46. Haha hilarious!!

    Stopping by from SITS.

    ReplyDelete
  47. So funny. I can identify with the diet coke for sure. :)

    ReplyDelete
  48. No kids here, so my first thought was that this post would be about something kooky your mom did to your car, like surprise you with plaid seat covers. My mom gave me a bourbon-scented air freshener for my Alero recently. Yeah, ummm...alcohol isn't really what I want to come to mind when I roll down my windows, but thanks mom. :p

  51. My son is only 5 months old but I'm always finding bottles here has thrown underneath my seats. Talk about smelling good!

    ReplyDelete
  52. Oh gosh that's awesome.

    Stopping by from SITS!

    ReplyDelete
  53. What mom hasn't had that happen? My brand new car got "mommed" when my almost-three-year old son found a can of spray paint and graffitied the entire side of it.

    ReplyDelete
  54. "Duct tape is the perfect way to say- sorry guys, this lady's already GOT a man."

  55. This was great! I immediately sent it to my son who watches Pimp My Ride all the time. I'm so glad the days of stale french fries and sticky consoles are behind me... wait! They're NOT! That was ME doing all that... augh!

    ReplyDelete
  56. LOL! The very fact that I have a mini-can is proof of being mommed ;)

    ReplyDelete
  57. I'm not a mom, but that's hilarious! (And somehow *I* am more than enough to mess up my car)

    ReplyDelete
  58. I have been "dogged" most definitely, there is no doubt I am a dog mom by the looks of my car.

    ReplyDelete
  59. OMG that's my van a few years ago. Where did they find it?

    ReplyDelete
  60. OVer from SITS - happy Potluck day!

The video actually made me a little nauseous. Especially when the milk exploded.

Another reason why we don't own a minivan!

    ReplyDelete
  61. hehehe We're planning on getting a minivan... so I will be "mommed" out sooner rather than later! Congrats on the special day!
    Stopping in from SITS.

    ReplyDelete
  62. So far I do not have a "mommed" vehicle. But as my 2 kids grow I'm sure it is only inevitable :)

As for adding video: you need to copy the html code and then switch the edit view in your post to HTML. There are tabs on the top. Scroll through the post to where you want to put in the video and paste the code. Voila!

Congrats on your SITS feature day :)

  63. Hi Annie :) What a cute family you have! I stopped by from the SITS girls and wanted to say hello. Would love for you to stop by my site and follow me back. I just made you break 100. Yeah! Blessings and have a great weekend!

  65. Happy SITS!

I already keep a messy car I do not want to think about what I have to look forward to in the future.

But you got it right we got to keep laughing and be thankful.

  66. Stopping by from SITS, and congrats on the Mommed out ride :-)

  67. so funny! congrats on being featured on SITS.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Hilarious! I don't have a *mommed* car but every one of my mom-friends, do. My OCD-ness prevents me from even having one crumb in my car. It's a blessing and a curse. HA!

Congrats on being featured for Potluck Friday!

  69. Oh heavens, I think I sprained something laughing so hard!

    Thanks for sharing that!

    ReplyDelete
  70. It's so sad that this is all so true! My kids once found a melted candy bar in between their seats, so now they are always on the look-out for what they call "underground chocolate."

    ReplyDelete
  71. that's hilarious. My van may be messy but it's no way near that bad... love the fix it the way her husband would.. duct tape. *LMAO*

    Happy Friday!

    ReplyDelete
  72. Hilarious! Now I have proof to show my husband that I'm not the only one!

  80. Happy Potluck Friday! Love the video -- could really relate to the kicking the seat part. I'm 180K miles into my first mom vehicle. Purchasing mom car #2 this weekend. Thankfully, my son is grossed out by grossness, so the food remains are usually minimal.

Love the name of your blog. Looking forward to reading more.

    ReplyDelete
  84. I don't have kids so this is not funny to me. It looks awful! Nooooo! I don't want a mommy car!! Here from SITS :-)

    ReplyDelete
  85. Visiting from SITS! And yes, that video is classic! My van gets 'mommed' on a fairly regular basis too! Have a great day!

    ReplyDelete
  86. Stopping by from SITS! Love this! My daughter is only 13 months old by my car has definitely been "mommed"!

    ReplyDelete
  87. Hilarious! That's explains it, except I inherited my car from my how ex-husband, so before it was "mommed" it was "husbanded" which is like a double whammy! There are stains on the seat and I am afraid to ask...

    ReplyDelete
  88. I love anything that makes me laugh! Thanks for sharing! My favorite part: the part about the duct taped mirror..."sorry fellas...this lady already has a man"

    ReplyDelete
  89. Oh my gosh - that's too funny! Yes, our "Galaxy Quest" as the kids call it, has definitely been Mommed. It's old school for sure - spilled drinks, melted crayons, kicked seats, the works.

SITS visiting & blog following. Peace. :)

  91. Happy Friday Potluck day! Woot!

  92. I recently had to clean up my car to drive a co-worker to a business dinner. Took me over 2 hours. My car is thoroughly mommed.

    ReplyDelete
  93. My car has been mommed many times over but I think my daughter's car has topped mine. We were driving somewhere and smelled something that reminded us of campfires. A nice smell, true, but not one you want in your car. So, we got out and opened the hood and sure enough, it was a wood burning fire of sorts. Seems a squirrel had nested in her engine and... well, the next was smokin'. Took it to a mechanic when even after we removed the nest, it still smelled and he said, "Yep, you've got a critter livin' in it." We kept having to clean it out and move it to a new location to get rid of it once and for all.
